There's a reason why
If I stare long enough maybe I'll find it
So many allusions lead to confusion
There's a reason why things have not panned out exactly as planned or imagined.
If I stare long enough the novelty wears off, I think.
So I'm looking under the surface, trying to scratch at the glitz to see if it really is gold.
I don't yet understand, still trying to make up my mind but...
There's a reason why it seems I chase the shadows and vapours in the clear light of day
Yet I'm determined
