Love, Marriage, Sex, Divorce... Not Necessarily in that Order

I'm taking an exegesis class in Love, Marriage, Sex and Divorce. We've been looking at statistics as well. I've cringed as time and time again the Black community is the most affected, or the most reported, in regards to dysfunction in love, marriage and sex. I think that there are many factors that contribute that are not necessarily reported in the statistics or sociological studies...but that's a whole blog on its own.

Okay so all the students in this class are married, except for one person who is engaged and two people who are single including myself:-) The three of us who are not married sit on one table. It's not as if we're trying to separate ourselves but maybe we find strength in numbers lol . Seriously though we appreciate being in a class with people from "the other side"!

Needless to say that as the we have studied together as a class there have been some tensions, food for thought and many questions.

Submission and headship
What does love mean?
Dynamics of communication for men and women
STDs, sexual malfunction, sexuality-shyness in the Christian sphere

At times the information seems overwhelming. Yet, scarier than that are the practical implications facing us. That we're called to a higher standard than most of us care to admit. That sooner or later we have to start processing the problems and be proactive. Not that I have all the answers, actually I think I have more questions...

Let's talk about love, marriage and sexuality...
