Prayer on a Gloomy Day

The weather is soooo gloomy today. Do I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder? Not today I don't

I'm feeling very hopeful, energized and ready to take on the next tasks of the day. I have a simple prayer for us all:

God lavish us with

Strength when we lack it

Faith when fear threatens to drown us in the abyss

Vision when we become obsessed with the minor

Optimism when reality seduces us into pessimism

Father, help us to realise that in all our pursuits it is you who gives us the grace to make it through the day. I'm grateful.
