MMmmm
Mmmm...yes Thursday was good! Hebrew went well, the homiletics exercise was enlightening and funny! Practicing my song with the accompanist was also really good- I wasn't as nervous as some people said I should be. Friday was relaxing and productive (i got a start on some homework). BUT I must say that sabbath was the best!! A definite learning opportunity, a fellowship experience and a challenge to me as a young person, woman, preacher, theologian and a student. We were treated to a nice meal and the fellowship was great. Hopefully it will happen again sometime soon. The song "Lord, I'm Available to You" went well, at first I was nervous and i don't think the song started out very strong but the end result was worthwhile. I got stronger as the song progressed. Main thing is that in my preparation I contemplated the meaning of the words and it is my prayer; it came from the heart and that was evident to the people that commented on it. Mmmm your humour is reaching me now and I know that when I ask for things i should be prepared...so I'm available mmm.
Sooo it's Sunday and all I say is that i am looking forward to the effects of discipline and the spirit of God in my meager and little life. Thank You Jesus for inspiring me and opening my eyes and ears a little wider to experience the power that you show through sinful humans like ourselves!! Your too amazing that sometimes it scares me just how much power and insight there is in your word- i don't even wanna speak it sometimes for fear of being condemned and shown up just because you are sooo PERFECT and i am just so self-centered and limited...but I thank you for that holy and mysterious phenomena that takes place when you can take my life/my words/my song/my hands and show an aspect of your character- IT BAFFLES ME.
Thursday is around the corner and it is the mark of my week really..but now that WISE is approaching it is imperative that you write the letters of your Word on my heart so that what i speak will be of use to someone's experience of you. AWESOME is the word to describe your love- and then some. For causing your son to shine upon the lives of men- I am truly grateful on this sort-of-sunny-Sunday xxx
