Life is Growth

I walked through nature yesterday, taking pictures of flowers and trees. The day before, I took pictures of friends that are staying and friends that are leaving.

The beautiful thing about life is growth. I never saw myself being in this space and place in my life. With a big milsetone ahead, I'm grateful for all the blessings that God has given to me.

Milestones in the lives of those I love also reminds me that their blessings are mine in an indirect way. They remind me that you bless everyone regardless of colour, language and taste. THnak you for being so generous to us.

School is done for now- it feels so good to have a break from academia and to focus on other creative pursuits. So I'm practicing my knitting once more, reading for my pleasure and education, socializing and contemplating the beauty and pain that life brings.

I've heard about the pain that life can bring; death and delay. I've seen the beauty; family, friends, relationships and unexpected moments.

BUt the beautiful thing about life is growth. Nothing stays the same so I refuse to be in a coma this summer. I'll breathe and laugh, cry and wince, believe and second-guess, pray and beg... I'll find out more about the mystery of God and He'll unwrap the mystery of myself.

With all this and more, I'm sure I'll have a packed and productive summer. Here's to summer 2008- a memorable one.
