OnE PrEcIoUs ThInG

They say the English (relevant to my identity? hmm no!) love to talk about the weather so here goes...Okay what is going on with the weather?? It shines, then it rains, shines, then rains and yes it's all in one day...ahh the joys of living in England!!
So I'm in the library (yhep actually i spend more time in this place than i do anywhere else, cry cry for me), done some Hebrew, some more Hebrew...oh and i forgot some mo' Hebrew. Just contemplating on friendship the other day (okay okay it was just a sec ago).. and i thought that it is one of the most precious things that God could have ever given to man- to ME.

I thought i would dedicate this entry to all the friends of the past, present and future. In memory of the people i have met that have touched my life, grabbed my attention and held my affection. I think of buddies from primary school days, Amar wherever you are in this vast world- i pray that the light of Allah will shine on you always, i hope that you have found physical healing and the one true FRIEND. This is for my childhood friends who are still here today... in particular Lor, Mona, Dee, Lin- if i ever said or made u feel like u ain't important then FORGIVE a sistah please.

I'm thinking about the "platonic" & "special" friends who allowed me to learn more about the Male psyche without taking liberties, hurting me, tryin' it- but respecting me and treating me as a sistah...did i mention that i was grateful?

I'm thinking of the random acquaintances that i made...Korean girl in Waterloo, young lady at WM retreat, and countless others that have just inspired me, encourage me and made me want to strive to be a better person.

My sisters in Canada...u know who you are cause i don't even have to call you out...there is no doubt (seriously) in my mind that you all will ALWAYS be a part of my heart, memories and LIFE. My big brother in Canada who i sat in Greek classes with, had enough debates with and trying to encourage the cooking lol... Thank you so much y'all. And all the other souls i bonded with also, Here's to two years of enough love and many mo'!

Also to the best roomie that a young lady could ever have hoped for...Danette, i prayed about you and GOD SENT YOU!!! I will never forget that semester. Morning devotions, eating nuff butter popcorn (hmm mhh mhh) and sharing dreams. For all your warmth, patience and understanding i will ever be grateful!!

This is to all the people in between, friends i have hurt, ignored, forgotten, you obviously still made an impact because this space is for you. Thank you for being there even if it was for a moment.

To those in my future, I'm praying already that God would orchestrate big things, and that when we meet we will recognise the beauty of friendship & companionship...

To the ones that i know have learned to call "friend"- let's make the most of things- please!

My life would not be 'a life', if it had not been for the presence of all these people. You are the inspiring, challenging, annoying, stressing, beautiful, extroverted, introverted,high-maintenance, chill, GOD-CREATED-people that have shaped my views, opinions,likes, dislikes...
